UBER ILL.. thundercats cuber-bill custom graffiti vandal version

This is Uber-Ill, my latest custom, a modified old Thundercats figure that used to be called Cuber-bill. After distressing and modifying the original figure with scars and a nozzle head, I also included a flow pipe, and an agitator inside the figure, so he rattles when shaken.. I painted him in a similar colour scheme to the original figure, with loads more detail and a rusty finish..

Standing 7cm tall, and with moveable arms, anyone interested in this custom should check my store later today.. He will be available at 8pm tonight, priced at £34.99...

Dragons custom toy show - Burny the Dragon Kidrobot Kracka

Burny the Dragon was created by me for the Dragons Custom Toy Show which will be held at the Sho Gallery in Cardiff on the 18th August... For more information and to see the rest of the amazing customs being produced by people, check out the Dragons blog here.. The line up of artists is massive, and the work being produced is next level.. All customs will be auctioned after the show via the internet and proceeds raised will go to a Diabetes charity...

I sculpted onto the original Kracka I was sent with air dry clay, and used bits of an old broken toy to make the spikey spine and wings by melting and cutting them into place..The textures were made with a nozzle, and  the grip of a screwdriver handle I had nearby.. I didn't plan this out before I started.. it was a steady progression, made up as I went along..

Below is a quick video my mate Simon put together for me, with photographs taken during the build and paintjob. Enjoy!!

I'll keep you updated once Burny and all the other amazing Dragons customs go up for auction..

Anyone attending the show on the night, could get their hands on a free goody bag too.. Andy has put together 25 for the first who find him and ask for one..So I sent down some laminated, signed, numbered prints to include in the mix..
..

Big thanks to Andy for getting me involved and all the hard work he's put into making this happen, and props to all the artists involved too!

More Vandalized Vinyl .. Custom Kidrobot Rooz and canvas

Covered in the most unappealing side of graffiti (for some) this is my latest vandalised vinyl... Like others before him - Abandoned munny Derelict rooz Rusty rooz,  Double Standards rooz trio, the Tagged Up trikky and a few more)
This custom is covered in layers of tags, throwups, paint splats, textures and was treated like a canvas background rather than a toy.. Given a few gloss lacquer coats once the destruction stopped, leaving a nice polished shine with the layers of graffiti trapped underneath.. This piece also comes with a mini canvas, as they all have, to demonstrate how  vandalism can be seen as an art form, whether on a wall, canvas, toy or whatever. This kind of artwork isn't for everyone! Plastered in hoakser, kidrobot, k.r vandalised vinyl tags and loads of layers of paint drips, splats etc.. This is a one off custom, and will be going up in my store later today !.. Priced at just £25.99 plus postage..

LAST SUNDAYS WALL - HOAKS , FLUID , TEMPO

It had been a while since I'd got out and done a piece just for me, so I enjoyed dropping this huge character on a wall next to Fluid and Tempo last week..I painted him mostly with emulsion, building up drippy layers and sketching over the top in spraypaint..

This picture is the wall looking half finished, and gives a better idea of the scale we worked on.. We had 2 sets of ladders between 3 of us, but took turns and got it finished pretty quick considering..

Below is my freestyled character half done, and then how it looked finished..

New Maskedman canvas - No Mind Games -

Pictured above is my latest finished canvas featuring the my most known character the Maskedman..

Created with spray paints and paint pens, this piece measures 50cm x 40 cm...
Titled - No Mind Games - this piece has just been added to my STORE for £44.99 plus postage.

The Veteran - new Dominant Species figure graffiti custom

The Veteran is my latest custom, made from a broken figure who was already missing an arm.. I think it was a Gears of War figure?, with loads of articulation and detail, I'm glad my friends son Jordan didn't throw this in the bin!! It was given to me to do my thing on and is now ..The Veteran, an ambidextrous battle damaged graffiti soldier who feels no pain..

After some sculpting, burning, battled damaging, adapting, painting and wiring he started to take shape..His arm in a pool of blood is set on clear plastic and can be positioned wherever, and the figure despite the loss of a limb, has 11points of articulation and can be posed in loads of ways.. He also comes with a shotgun, which fits nicely into his hand with his finger on the trigger.. Below is a picture overload to show some of the details this figure has..

Due to the quality of the original figure, this is a well weighted, well made toy, with loads of moveable parts and possible poses.. He stands well on his own, and can be posed in so many ways I couldn't possibly photograph them all... I can't take any credit for any of the movement as I didn't make it.. I only used my imagination and skills, saved a toy from the bin, and turned him into something that will either sit in my display cabinet, or hopefully in a collectors..
This one of a kind figure will be up for grabs from my store soon... Details to be announced..Watch this space!

URBAN WORRYKNOT CUSTOM DESIGNED BY JON BURGERMAN AND STU WITTER, PAINTED BY HOAKSER

A few weeks back one of these cool looking desktop sculptures called "The Worryknot" was sent to me,  to do my thing on for a new on-line store based in Cardiff, called The Projects..
Specializing in one off collectables, art prints and clothing, my latest custom will soon be available from there..

This was a very cool opportunity for me, as there were only ever 10 of these made.. Created by the legendary Stu Witter and Jon Burgerman originally in 2007, they eventually surfaced this year, some 5 years later, with both artists separated by 3465 miles, the Worryknot represents the anxiety in artistic collaboration, and made a very interesting piece to paint..

I approached this like a few of my latest vandalised vinyl customs.. I tried to keep the colours fairly muted, but still have loads going on, hopefully making this already cool piece, even more interesting to look at.. Sort of like a camouflage that doesn't take away from the details of the original sculpt..

The "Urban Worryknot" has been weathered and given a polluted, rusty look, covered in layers of tags and grime, with acrylics, markers and spraypaint before being gloss lacquered leaving a nice contrasting shine.

This was fun to paint, a bit tricky at times too with so much going on, but I'm happy with how it turned out..I gave shout outs to Stu and Jon too whilst painting..I hope they don't mind!!
Big thanks to The Projects too for getting me involved!!

As mentioned before, this piece will only be available from THE PROJECTS...  details of when, and for how much still to be confirmed..
Make sure you let one of us know if you'd like the details, so we can keep you informed...
I imagine it will be quite soon!!!

The Essence is covered in layers of tags, throwups, paint splats, wall type textures and was treated like a canvas rather than a toy...

This piece just snuck into my store undetected.. If you like him, go and get him from here...
