THE THIRD VERSION.. NEW RESIN MASKEDMAN FIGURE

Over the last few months in the background of the desk of makings, I've been slowly doing stuff to create the third version of my character in resin,this guy.... the Maskedman.. 

Standing 7.5 inches tall this third version has 5 points of magnetic articulation allowing their feets, arms and heads to be turned and positioned. Each one has been hand finished with additional sculpting and given one of those mini Maaadcans to control..Painted with acrylics and finished with several coats of clear lacquer, the first finished four come with a matching color scheme mini canvas to hang behind the piece or stand on the easel supplied.

SPEAK LESS BUT SAY MORE

Seems as though a lot of so called art these days has to have a paragraph to explain why it's any good..I've never been a fan of the sort of stuff that needs explaining..If you look at it and like it, that should be enough without having to read a paragraph to decide..So this paragraph is an attempt to explain why I'd rather paint and create stuff without having to explain what I was thinking or why I felt the need to do it. Speak less but say more... I could have waffled on about a bit more about it's context and meaning, the many techniques used to paint this, the years of character development it's taken to freestyle this on canvas, but there's other writing I need to include below so I'll just skip to that..

  Measuring 16x40 inches, this piece was painted across two 16x20 canvasses which can be displayed with or without a small gap in between..Created with spray paint and acrylics, this piece took several late nights to contemplate and complete, and was finally finished, photographed and made available from the store today.. 

Featuring that guy "the Maskedman" silencing a loud mouthed Maaadcan that's plugged into his skull king mask, and my little cat apprentice "Dog" who goes out every night to mark our territory.

MAAADCANS - spraycan sculptures

More of these original sculpted MaaadCans have recently been finished and set free in the store..There are four of them to be exact, and there are a couple of others for them to hang around with in there.. Prices of these cans vary depending on how long they take to make and paint, however they are still quite affordable as they usually range from £25 - £45 each..

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED.. CUSTOM RESIN GRAFFITI FIGURE

Another SkreenFace resin custom got finished up over the weekend.. Cast in four parts with magnets inside, this guy has articulation in his arms and head, also the wire can also be held in different positions which is fed through a hole in his hand..

Equipped with his can of 94 and an attitude to start a revolution, this 6 inch tall chunk of resin is a one of a kind piece which is now available from the store, along with a few other versions of this character..

GRAFFITI BEAST ORIGINAL PAINTING

This little beast was painted last week on an 85x65cm piece of reclaimed wood with spray paint and acrylic..Based on a few scribbles from the book and some one of a kind sculptures I've been working on recently, this piece is now framed and available from my Etsy store along with his friend, the similar styled GraffMonster..

HUNGRY GRAFF MONSTER PAINTING

First item new to the store this week.... a painting of a hungry little graff monster equipped with a couple of spray cans!.. Christmas orders deadline and NEW stuff in store...

It's been a mad few weeks keeping up with orders and sales, it's times like Christmas I almost wish I had some staff or a clone of me.. Anyway, I don't..and the last  in land UK shipping date is next Friday..December 20th.. So there's around a week left if you are thinking of ordering something..

HOAKSER EXHIBITION - OCTOBER 24th AT THE BENCH 504

Birmingham's graffiti shop The Bench 504 hosts their first ever exhibition with a solo show from yours truly.
   October 24th is the open night and you are all invited to attend.. The exhibition runs for 5 weeks, until the end of November, and will be full of all aspects of my work which means you can definitely expect to see new paintings, custom toys, sculptures, prints and lots of other stuff made with salvaged /recycled materials.

 BRIGHTON - Blackrock

 I went to Brighton a couple of weeks ago and painted this in the infamous Blackrock spot..With not much sleep and a slight hangover, fueled by a sausage, bacon and egg roll from a friendly bikers cafe on the seafront, and an energy drink, I got busy for a few hours and left this behind..
